entry information
Here you will find answers to most of the common questions users encounter when preparing to submit work into The Silverback Awards Competition.
entry overview
Navigate the submission process effortlessly with steps from rules to media uploads. Reach out for expert guidance.
Step 1 : Read the Rules
Make sure your entry is eligible.
Absolutely nothing can be entered that has not been approved and that has not been commercially published, launched or aired.
Step 2 : Check the Categories
Make sure you enter your work in the correct category. The Silverback Awards will endeavor to move entries to more appropriate categories during entry processing and prior to judging. However it remains your responsibility to submit your entry into the correct category. During judging the Jury are not allowed to move entries between categories.
Step 3 : Entry Preparation Guidelines
Every category has its own preparation requirements. Be sure to check what’s required for your entry category.
PR : Please Note : No other formats will be accepted – If your files are not sent in the correct format your entry may be rejected!
TRANSLATION – All non-English entries must include subtitles. Include any necessary explanation for the judging panel to understand the context of the translation.
SINGLE ENTRIES – must be entered individually.
For example, three TV ads that are part of a campaign theme must be entered as individual entries, not all as one entry. If in the opinion of the jury, several pieces constitute a campaign, then these entries will be combined into one campaign award.
DO NOT PLACE YOUR NAME OR YOUR AGENCY BRANDING ON YOUR ENTRY.
As all work is judged anonymously, you must ensure that no reference to your agency is included on the entry.

entry tips
Our standards are high, and we’re proud of that. Winning Silverback isn’t easy – but great work can get missed if it’s not presented well.
To make your life easier, we have compiled our six key points to remember when preparing your Silverback entry, always remembering our judging criteria:
Innovation | Execution | Relevance
Start with a great idea
No matter how well your entry is presented, if the idea isn’t strong, the judges will see through it.
Keep it simple
Focus on the core message – what was great, why it’s relevant and how you did it.
Don’t create work with the sole purpose of winning an award
It needs to be relevant and have purpose. The judges will see through an Integrated Campaign for Joe’s Chip Shop.
A bad presentation could lose you an award
The Silverback Awards judges are looking at a lot of work. If your presentation makes it difficult for them to see why your campaign is innovative, well-executed and relevant, it won’t win.
Make your stats relevant
Many presentations offer laundry lists of Facebook likes and increased sales as evidence that the campaign was relevant to the brand and the market. But stats need a context to make sense. Pin them to something the judges can relate to. Again, don’t ask the judges to work hard to figure out what makes your campaign worthy of winning.
